Tromasterpiece Theatre: Episode 2 – “Poultrygeist” looking Caged-Free – Fitz of Horror Announcement

Gothic Bob March 5, 2019

In tribute to Mystery Science Theater 3000, theater usher Addison and his friends Corny (a talking popcorn box) and Reelie (a talking film reel) watch and riff on Troma films.

What do you get when you run across a guy who loves Troma and Mystery Science Theatre 3000? You get Writer/Producer/Director Addison Binek and his ‘Tromasterpiece Theatre’. Add one part zombified chicken-fried chicken and it’s looking very likely that you will get episode 2 of what is shaping up to be a very popular series. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, or waiting in line like a zombie outside of a fast-food chicken chain, you understand how MST3K works. A guy (in this case Binek) and his two sidekicks (Corny and Reelie) foreshadow the front of a theatre screen. They crack witty jibs while watching cult classics. You, the viewer, get to enjoy all of it.

It was just two years ago that Binek launched Episode 1, which is a riff on Troma’s ‘The Battle of Love’s Return’ (1971). Binek’s spin on Troma content, probably being too risque for Amazon, proved to be a very popular production on Troma’s site and elsewhere. Adjust your tracking and fast forward to a week ago, where Binek launched a Kickstarter to gauge interest on a second installment, one which covers Troma’s popular ‘Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead’ (2006). The jury is in and it seems people REALLY want to see this happen. I’m guilty as charged! Check it out and reserve a copy (or more)!
