Normal Terror (2019)- Sometime EVIL Doesn’t Look Evil- Fitz of Horror Trailer Review
Bryan Fitzgerald (Fitz of Horror) March 17, 2019
Synopsis- By day he is a single father doing his best to take care of his son and struggling to get by. The magic happens after he puts his son to bed, this is when he becomes a monster. He abducts, tortures and kills his victims for no apparent reason. Each is different, no particular M.O.
I came across this trailer on Vimeo a few weeks ago and at first, I didn’t care for it because of the insane amount of jump cuts in its 2 minute run time but after hearing a little more about it I watched it a few more times and I am now genuinely intrigued at the unique possibilities of this upcoming feature-length serial killer with a twist film.
The trailer gives us, as I stated before an unnecessary amount of jump cuts but also shows real promise with the premise. It made me think of Dee Snider’s Strangeland with our twisted leading man being tattooed and pierced and seemingly willing to inflict mass amounts of torturous pain on his victims. The trailer also features writer/director/star Sam Mason’s son Sammy Mason who looks like a phenomenal young actor that will deliver some sort of unexpected layer to the film. I’m hoping for a second, more straight forward trailer, that frames the killer and the story a bit better but I understand that the film is still in production and is aiming for a 2019 October release so there will no doubt be more to see before then.
I’m excited to see the final product this Fall. Until then follow Sacrificial Pawn Productions on Facebook to stay up to date on all of the news.
