Mark Jackson 1990-91 HOOPS basketball card that shows the Menendez brothers in the crowd has surfaced- Fitz of Horror

As long as I can remember I have always loved horror and sports cards. Before I created Fitz of Horror I was an avid card collector who was once recognized by Beckett magazine as having the worlds largest Jose Canseco card collection, seriously check it out HERE. So to my surprise recently, I learned about this Mark Jackson 1990-91 Hoops basketball card that shows the Menendez brothers sitting courtside at a Knicks game.
My love of Horror and sports cards has finally come full circle and though I primarily buy and collect horror films this card had me scattering to eBay to buy another sports card after all these years!
What makes this card truly eerie is that this photo was taken after the now infamous brothers had brutally murdered their parents. They murdered their parents on August 20, 1989 and were arrested March 8, 1990, the photo on this card was taken at Madison Square Garden in the 1989-90 season and the set came out before the 1990-91 season.
According to CBSSports.com-
The brothers weren’t initially seen as suspects in the murder of their wealthy parents, but their outrageous spending put them on authorities’ radars in 1990. Apparently, Knicks tickets were part of that spending.
The brothers were convicted in 1996, and they’re now serving life in prison without parole. Jackson, of course, played five seasons with the Knicks and was an All-Star in 1989 before spending the rest of his career as a journeyman. Jackson coached the Golden State Warriors from 2011-2014, and he’s now a broadcaster with ESPN.
