Post Apocalyptic Commando Shark (2018)-You Know you want to see it because…’Merica!!- Fitz of Horror Review

Synopsis-In the post-apocalyptic future, the world is at war. The newly instated Soviet Russian Army has invaded the USA with the assistance of an evil German scientist who has created an army of super human soldiers, half-man and half-shark.

Let’s just get this out of the way first, I love shark movies and the ridiculous range they seem to have. From the original JAWS to the more recent House Shark and the hundreds in between, I have always been drawn to the sheer absurdity that the sub genre has to offer.

When I heard about Sam Qualiana‘s new shark horror film Post Apocalyptic Commando Shark I was excited to rent it on Amazon (for $2.99) and give it a go. Admittedly, the key to going into movies like this is to go in with low expectations and just have fun with what is put on the screen. Post Apocalyptic Commando Shark, given it’s wild premise of half man half shark killing machines created by the Russians as the ultimate soldiers invading USA, the film actually has substance and is quite fun.

As the Russian army invades the US countryside, each unit led by a commando shark, they decimate every group of Americans they come across until the most patriotic group of survivors that that you could hope for give them a run for their money in hilarious and in some cases extremely gory ways.

Qualiana does a great job at keeping the viewer interested by telling a great, if not wildly outlandish, story of American patriotism versus the world (and commando sharks) that is surprisingly good and makes the movie rewatchable and memorable. Not to mention, The acting is surprisingly solid from all actors involved.

I’m not saying that Post Apocalyptic Commando Shark is the greatest bad shark movie ever made but it certainly is better than any of the Sharknado movies and in my opinion, right up there with House Shark (which I loved).

Do yourself and your country a favor….Watch Post Apocalyptic Commando Shark, drink 12 beers and yell ‘Merica at your TV!!!!
