The Incantation (2018)-A Sneak Peek at the New Supernatural Horror Movie Trailer-Fitz of Horror Exclusive
Written by Bryan Fitzgerald (Fitz of Horror) March 22, 2018
When I first came across The Incantation, directed by Jude S. Walko, I have to admit that I was immediately turned off because lifelong D list actor Dean Cain was involved. Don’t get me wrong I thought he was great in Ripley’s Believe it or Not but most any film he has been involved in (that I have see) has had a very “Lifetime” movie vibe to it, anyway, I gave this trailer a watch and I’m actually looking forward to seeing this. Dean Cain looks reserved and finally being cast outside of his typecast good guy roles.
Synopsis-In this picturesque paranormal thriller, a young American girl, Lucy Bellerose (Sam Valentine), has a chance of a lifetime to visit her ancestors ominous castle in the south of France. However, things are not as they seem as she finds that her family is hiding deep, dark secrets about their nefarious past, far away from prying eyes. Unbeknownst to Lucy, the region is also home to centuries of witchcraft and occult folklore. After meeting the strident Vicar of Borley and her socially awkward Chambermaid, Mary, Lucy begins to question her place in the family. Abel Baddon, a devilishly handsome traveling salesman, (Dean Cain “Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman”), tries to assuage her fears and soothe her reluctance. However, only after meeting a charming gravedigger named J.P. (Dylan Kellogg) does she begin to feel at ease. He navigates her through the twists and turns of the murky waters of her family’s past, eventually uncovering shocking revelations.
Winner of multiple awards on the indie circuit including:
IndieFEST – Winner of 5x Awards of Excellence for Direction, Writing, Supporting Actor (Dean Cain), Cinematography and Feature Film.
IndieFEST – Winner of Award of Merit for Originality.
Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival – Nominee for People’s Choice Award Feature Film
PRESS STATEMENT
Veteran Actor, Dean Cain, stars as “Abel Baddon”, a character which veers from his usual portrayal of innocent pretty-boy roles. Sam Valentine lends her talents as “Lucy Bellerose”, a strong, yet flawed, female protagonist.
Shot entirely on-location in France, the film serves as the official Directorial Debut of Jude S. Walko, alongside Producer, Dan Campbell.
It’s the first original content for Blue Falcon Productions, a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-owned business Co-owned by Campbell and Walko.
With what looks like an amazing set location and a solid story, I’m looking forward to checking this one out. It is due for wide release some time in August (2018).
