Leatherface (2017) Movie Review-Fitz of Horror

A teenage Leatherface escapes from a mental hospital with three other inmates, kidnapping a young nurse and taking her on a road trip from hell, while being pursued by a lawman out for revenge.

So it’s definitely more like a high grade sci fi channel movie. It tries be be grittier than it really is and honestly some of the characters had me confused. I will say that the gore and brutality were on full display though! It’s one of the better in the TCM franchise but that’s not saying much with some of the entries after number 2.

If you’re a fan of the franchise this is a fun watch, if you love over the top gore drenched Horror give it a chance, if you just want to see a brutal horror movie this Halloween then give this a try but if you’re looking for a coherent and well polished horror movie this may not be the one for you.

I will have to rewatch it to let it soak in but I have a feeling once this hits the theaters in October and the critics get ahold of it, they will rip it to shreds like a victim at the end of Leatherface’s Chainsaw.

I’m eager to hear everyone’s opinions on this one and hoping that someone puts out a Texas Chainsaw Massacre box set soon!!
